All students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade may participate provided that the student either resides withing Broward county or regularly attends school in Broward county.
 
SPECIAL NOTE TO PLAYERS, COACHES, AND PARENTS:  The Broward County Chess Association is fully committed to reporting tournament results within 24 hours of completion of the tournament.  This can only be accomplished if all of the player participants have valid USCF memberships.  Please assist us by confirming your USCF membership prior to registering for this tournament.  Thank you!

This is a one-day, rated tournament.  "Rated" means that the results of the tournament will be submitted to the United States Chess Federation.  Thus, each and every participant must have a valid USCF memberhip on the day of the tournament.
